How suitable is this cooker to cook for one person? Whats the max number of people? Does the steam disperse without making a mees of the lid and surrounds?

This is suitable for 1 person. This will also be ok for up to 5 people according to how much rice you like. The steam does disperse out of the lid without making a mess. Hope this helps you.
