This is an amazing bin and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with it! This is definitely the way forward. I like the fact that you dont even have to touch the bin to deposit your waste, you only have to wave your hand near the sensor and it opens very smoothly. Very happy with my new purchase.

I suppose over £100 is a bit excessive for a bin that just sits in the corner but I can say that it was well worth the money. Its such a great gadget you dont even have to touch the lid. I would suggest to anyone reading this that its worth buying the Brabantia bin liners as well as they are so strong and dont rip like the cheaper versions do.

I could write an eassy on my new bin! In a nutshell its been reliable, the sensor works, holds a full 50l capacity and if it fails then youre covered as Brabantia gives you a 5 year guarantee. Well pleased thanks.

Ive had to change the batteries once since I bought the bin over a month ago but I think it was due to the novelty factor and kept opening / closing the lid. If I had to score the bin out of 10, then it would get 10 from me.
